Debbie has worked with children for over 25 years in various capacities. She has taught kindergarten in public schools and prekindergarten in private Christian schools. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from California Lutheran University and her Master of Arts in Teaching from University of Alaska Southeast.

She loves traveling and has been to many places including: Israel, Egypt, Greece, Australia, Tahiti, New Zealand, Canada, and Mexico. Her happy place is the beach where she likes to walk near the ocean, listen to the waves, and talk with God.

The Kay and Ray book series is dedicated to the memory of Debbie’s brother, Dave, and her father, Ray, who both battled cancer. They were amazing influences on her life growing up, and showed her great examples of people living out their faith and following their dreams.
